James Douglas Morrison- (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971) was an American singer, poet, songwriter, writer, and film director. He is best known as the lead singer and lyricist of The Doors, and is widely considered to be one of the most charismatic and influential frontmen in rock music history.[1] He was also the author of several books of poetry,[1] and the director of a documentary and short film.

Today, was the 37th Anniversary of Jim Morrison’s death.

I first discovered The Doors when I was 16. I listened to their music nearly everyday for 10 years straight, read every book about Jim Morrison or The Doors that I could get my hands on, & read his poetry books. I saw The Doors tribute band "Wild Child" more times then I can count just to be able to experience the music live, and a little of what Jim Morrison was like, and had every video. I looooved them so much.

So, here is my tribute to Jim Morrison. I’m fairly pleased with this even though after I was finished, & I looked at the original, I realized that my shoulders shouldn’t have been straight and my hands aren’t perfect. Whatcha gonna do?!

Last night I somehow get to this website…

Find A Death

Oh I know, I was on http://www.perezhilton.com and someone linked to it in the comments on a post that previously held a picture of Anna Nicole’s son dead in his coffin. It was taken down though.

I didn’t know what the post contained as it says if you are easily offended…I’m not one who likes looking at dead people. It scares me, and I fear it will be burned in my brain and I will see these dead faces as I try to fall asleep or dream about them. So, I was glad it was taken down.

I was reading the Find a Death site for hours last night. I really like “Old Hollywood”. It seemed so glamourous, and the movie stars were really movie stars. I loved the style of those times from the clothes to the houses to the furniture. I went to read about Jayne Mansfield and I didn’t know she died in a car accident, and was basically scalped. She had 3 of her children in the car along with 2 men. All the adults died and the kids all survived. Pretty amazing. Then they had links to her pictures dead. Scalped. I didn’t dare look at them. They said they were super gross. I then went to other sites reading about her, and I read somewhere that she used to flash her breast for publicity after her career started to decline. Not flash, but would let them slip out of her dress or or just a nipple. Who knew? You know back in those days that was some controversy! Nowdays stars take it a step further and flash the vag. Which doesn’t even really make us flinch. In 2002 they demolished her pink palace which had a heart shaped pool, a grotto, waterfall…to build mini mansions. What a bummer. I thinkI’d be sick if I were her children.

I read about the Big Bopper, and clicked a link…and his son who was born 3 months after his death in June 2006 had his Dad exumed. Then viewed his remains 48 years after his death. It said The Big Bopper’s remains were well preserved, and he was dressed in a black suit and striped tie, wearing only socks and no shoes…and had his signature 1950’s flat top. Creepy!!! I think I would have viewed those pics with one eye closed…if they showed them. I couldn’t even imagine having my Dad exumed and viewing his remains. It’s been 21 years, and I wondered what he looked like today…but I would never want to do that…ever.

After hours of reading about dead people, I started smelling that funeral-y flower smell ever once in awhile. It totally creeped me out and I had to shut down. I was getting to creeped out and my mind was filled with death.

The best part was Freddy Kruger. I was SO scared of him.

Then Nick Carter, his brother Aaron Carter and I think a sister or two were in front of us at the Insane Asylum. At the end, they were fucking gay! Nick was talking like some obnoxious white black guy…at the exit of the maze, only still inside. The whole group was all loud and annoying. I can see why he’s famous. He’s an attention getter. The maze sucked ass, so I don’t know what he was all hyped up about or why he felt the need to reiterate the maze to everyone exiting it. Go stand in the front if you want someone to give a fuck. Just get out of my way wigger boy!
I needed more tampons. So I go there, and I’m at the register paying, and I notice a really tall black guy get behind me. I walked out to my car, which was in front and saw him walk out. I did this super fast double take at him, because he looked familiar. When I did that he got this weird look on his face. Then I was like (to myself) “He’s famous!!!! I know he sings. He’s not R.Kelly but a singer like that. Then I was thinking well maybe he’s not anyone at all, and just looks like someone famous!” Then I thought “Well let’s see what car he gets into, because if he gets in some old beat up car he’s nobody obviously with money…but he if gets in a nice car…he has to be famous.” So he walked to a brand spankin’ new Range Rover. So by the time I got back to work I figured out his name, but wasn’t sure if I made it up or not. I searched google and I was right. It was Brian McKnight. Now don’t tell me how on earth I knew his name, cuz I have no freaking idea. Does it matter though? Now I’m his biggest fan! HaHaHaHa! Not!
