We like to say "Olé" like the whitest white people. It cracks me up. Do it out loud, right now. It’s fun. Jeremy does this little jump with his hands, and I die from laughter.

You may ask yourself "What is up with that Christmas tree branch hanging from the ceiling with ornaments on it doing in the picture?"

Nobody knows. Just go with it.

Ghost Costume

This year Sheldyn decided she wanted to be a ghost. Of course I said I would make it. It is now the day before Halloween, and I haven’t even started it. I don’t have a pattern, and I don’t plan on throwing material over her head and cutting out eye holes. So, that means today I need to design and sew up a decent ghost costume. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, or how I will go about doing it. I need to get busy on it, but I have absolutely no creativity going on right now. I’m dry people. I don’t feel like making a damn thing. Wish me luck. Ugh.

Mother’s Day

So, this year I’m actually talking to my Madre again, so I get to participate in Mother’s Day this year. Except I have no damn clue what to get her. My mom is the type that shops for herself ALL the time. She has all the things she would want. I remember a few years ago, my sister and I were at the Mall and I smelled this perfume, and I told her to smell it because it totally smelled like my Mom. So, we bought it together and my Mom looooved it. I need to find something like that. I know she likes necklaces, so I could try to find her one. I refuse to send flowers, because I find them to be a waste of money, unless you get them on sale at the grocery store or something. Ha! So, what to get, what to get?

I swear I am plannng on updating this thing here in the near future! With Christmas thing were a little busy over here, as is the case with everyone at this time of year. So I do plan on updating after the kids go back to school. I need to start up pay per posting again also, because my laptop will not power on anymore and I need a new one! So that should drive me to post more.

Thanksgiving

It was a nice holiday! All the crazy preparation it took to get there was well worth it all. It wasn’t even that bad having my ex-husband and his girlfriend here. Maybe a little uncomfortable, but not bad. We made it through, the house is super clean, the dinner was awesome thanks to Jeremy, and it is a memory for the books. Now the stress of Christmas! I love the season, but I am growing to hate the holiday. Financially it sucks, because I don’t have credit cards. So, everything I buy is with cash. Which is actually a good and bad thing. Although I would say more good then bad, as I am not in debt after Christmas. Yet, if I don’t have the cash, I can’t get the presents. It will all end well, I just hate the stress of it all, and wish I could just enjoy it. I look forward to the point where the kids have opened all their gifts, and are satisfied. That is a huge sigh of relief!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving just kinda snuck up on me this year. I cannot believe it is in 1 week!!! Jeremy told me that, and I just about fell out of the chair! I am so used to it being later in the month, and the wether we are having right now, doesn’t not feel like it should be Thanksgiving at all!!! More like Fourth of July!!! The past three days have been 94-84 degrees! I’m so sick of southern California weather. I’m sick of the heat. I would love to wear long sleeves and hoodies, and be comfortable.

Anyway, I need to make a list of all the stuff I need. What sucks is, I’m not speaking to my Mom, and last year I had an email she sent me for directions on how to make her stuffing…and well the email is gone now. So, hopefully I can remember enough to get it right. The stuffing makes thanksgiving for me. My Grandma made it the same way, then my Mom and now me. It is the best stuffing in the entire world…Trust me on this. I should post the recipe.

Oh, and my brother is coming to my house this year!!! Yay! I’m excited to have him come and hang out! This means though, that i need to make some stuffing without sausage for him, as he doesn’t eat pork anymore.

Throughout life, hoidays seemed to have fewer and fewer people. My Grandparent’s were always there, and then after my Grandma passed away, my Grandpa would come, and then he started to go to my Uncles house. So it would just be My Mom, step-dad, brother, sister, my kids, myself, and my siginificant other. I always wanted to have a ton of people around, like a big huge family get together. So, last year was a bit lonely with just Jeremy, the kids and I. It will be nice to have one more person celebrating with us.

Black Friday?!?!?

So, who is into shopping on Black Friday? To be honest, I have never, ever gotten up early and went shopping on Black Friday. I’ve never went Christmas shopping anytime before the 15th of December. This would have to do with the fact that I am poor, and don’t have extra money to just throw around whenever I want. Oh, of course I’ve looked at black friday ads, and I’ve thought about going to get a couple items, that I could save lots of money on, but my other problem is waking up. I have a hard enough time waking up when I have to or had to like when I had a job. So, the idea of waking up when it’s still dark outside to go deal with lots of people, just sounds like a really, really bad nightmare. Which could easily set my mood for the day or week. So, I found this sweet gem of a website! One that let’s me participate in Black Friday, without the hassle of leaving home!!! I’m totally excited, because I am trying to PayPerPost a lot to make money for Christmas. I don’t want to stress out about it this year. Now, I see that I can shop online and get Black Friday Deals! I for sure will be checking out Target’s Deals, because I do a lot of my shopping for the kids there anyway.

Memorial Weekend

The 3 day weekend is over. It was a good weekend. The kids started out driving me freakin’ nuts on Saturday, but after that, they chilled out a bit and it was overall a good weekend. Saturday nioght we went to go see Pireates of the Caribbean. I don’t usually like those sorta movies, but I actually didn’t mind it at all. Although, my ass was hurting like a mofo towards the end. It was really long. We even went to a BBQ at Jeremy’s sister’s and they got to meet his family for the first time, ever. I was nervous as usual just being with his family, and it was actually really, really nice to have them there with me. They were really good, and I think I want to bring them everytime…just so I have my people there.

Being around his family makes me miss my family and family get togethers and stuff. Unlike his family, I think my family was always fun to hang out with. My Mom and Step-Dad aren’t crazy party animals or anything like that, they definitely act their age and all, but they have a good time. We could all drink some beers, and just hang out, talk & laugh and have a good time. I feel like his family is just kinda uptight maybe a little. It’s just not the same as my family dynamic, and I feel like my family has always been pretty friendly to people. If your new, they try to get to know you and stuff, and make you feel comfortable. I don’t think his family really know me any better today then they did the first time they ever met me. They know my stats, but not Stephanie, and for some reason, I still feel really uncomfortable around them.

I always imagine if we ever got married what would our wedding be like you know? I’ve met his Mom one time. I’ve met his Dad & 2 sisters, and uncle & aunt, seriously maybe 2 handfuls of times in 3+ years. His uncle is cool though. Ha! He’s the only one I feel comfortable around, who is a really nice guy, and makes you feel at ease. Makes me think we should just run away to Vegas to get married when the time comes with nobody there…except for my kids because Chase has told me we better not get married without him and Sheldyn there. Ha!

Dessert??? HELP!!

So we are going to Jeremy’s sisters for Christmas. We have to bring dessert. For some reason I can’t think of a thing to make. I want it to be really yummy. I think I’m nervous. I want to make it, but I don’t want it to turn out looking like shit or not turning out good. Like if I made an apple pie, I just know my apples will be to soggy or undercooked. ACK! I don’t think I make a wonderful chocolate cake, and that doesn’t seem very um Christmas-y. My cheesecakes although tasty always crack like CRAZY. To me things have to look as good as they taste. I don’t want to buy something, because I can cook/bake…and to me although safe seems just boring and so not me.

What dessert can I make that is really good, not to difficult and is Christmas-y. Should I bring two different kinds? ACK, the pressure!
